All of them are playing Lone Wolf Ratcatchers (ie agents from the Department of Thaumaturgical Affairs) right now:

[livejournal.com profile] ancalagon_tb plays Rob an ex-patriot Americian martial artist with a shadowed past. He is a human child of a were family and devoted to his Sensi uncle who keeps making him wash the dojo as part of his training. Rob is originally from New York City and was involved in protecting the local were from an attempted purge by the leading Fey family of the city. He was forced to leave the US as the FBI was starting to ask questions about his involvement in the massacre of the occupants (fey soldiers) of a NYC appartment building. He (and his uncle) escaped to Canada with the help of Aedan whom he'd met during the purge fiasco. He now acts as a Duelist for the Ratcatchers when they have to deal with Fey law. So far he's fought in three duels and earned himself a reputation amongst the local fey as somebody to be respected from a distance. Rob is a straight-laced and very focused individual. His friends respond to this by trying to get him drunk and laid. They've failed so far. Rob lives with Kate, a girl he refused to kill during a rigged duel in the Fey court of Avalon. As a result of his decision he was made fully responsible for her in the eyes of the Court. This might not have been a problem except that Kate is the ex-accomplist of the hitman known as Renard (aka Silver Fox) who botched an attempt on Rob's Alpha Susan's life. Renard walked out of the duel a free man. Rob wants him dead. In the meantime Rob is trying to deprogramm Kate and fulfill his duties to the Department. Rob has a reputation of being able to hide anything in his spleen.

[livejournal.com profile] arrantdemon plays Aedan a weathy hacker who used to only care about code, cars and chicks. Aedan is from a tight-knit were family and is himself a were-cat. He has a loving but strained relationship with his uncle Cornellius (a Ratcatcher) who is responsible for bringing Aedan into the Department. Prior to becoming a Ratcatcher he worked for the Ottawa Fey Court and was sent to New York City to retrieve papers stolen by a traitor. He met Rob in NYC and was also involved in the purge fiasco. Aedan doesn't like to talk about NYC much... except when Neesha is involved. Neesha is the daughter of a famous movie director / leader of the NYC were. Aedan's first encounter with his fiancee was at the business end of the gun she had pointed at him. He said she stole his heart then. He wooed and won her. She now lives with him in Ottawa and is studying to be a lawyer. Aedan was evicted from the Ottawa Court for (justifiably) punching out the Court's communications officer. Aedan joined the Ratcatchers and was eventually promoted (to his dismay) to a supervisory position in the Computer Security branch... which is amusing since he spends most of his time breaking other people's security. Lately he has been doing "special jobs" for the Deputy Director. Aedan has close ties to Serra, prince of the Ottawa court, and Lucy, a diviner from Northern Ireland.

[livejournal.com profile] dracodraconis plays Max (and Mr.Coon) an upstanding and (usually) law-abiding doctor who applied to the RCMP but instead got recruited into the Ratcatchers. The dudly-do-right discovered that he was really a were-coon during initial training in thaumaturgy and soon after learned that he and his twin sister were adopted. Max's animal side has the ability to talk and embodies all of the things that Max supressed. In short, Mr.Coon is his own person coon. The two sides of Max's personality are learning to accept each other and work together. Max has a serious dislike of the control Fey Princes excert over their subjects. He tends to compare Fey Courts to cults. His reasearch into the nature of Warlocks resulted in some startling discoveries... including the fact that Sean and the unbalanced Warlock Lee were not actually human. During his recent mission to Nowhere, that resulted in Lee's death in a duel with D'Ange, Mr.Coon adopted a baby gremlin he has named Greenie, Max wasn't as thrilled with the aquisition but has grown to like her. Max is the concience of the group and is impatient with bullshit and double-talk. He tries to keep Rob from killing people and generally advocates the legal path although he's becoming more acceptant that sometimes the legal way isn't the right way.

[livejournal.com profile] ironphoenix plays Sean the one-time drifter and university drop-out was rather suprised to find himself recruited to the Ratcatchers. Sean is a null... a person capable of unconciously shutting down magical effects in thier vicinity. This probably would have gotten him killed but the Ratcatchers took him in and trained him. He met the others during training. Sean has been slowly leaving behind his slacker lifestyle and even served as Beta for the training group. He's kept up his pot smoking though... old habits die hard. Sean has been improving his people skills but the sometimes rigid structure of the Department chafes. He's growing though and is starting to take on new responsibilities. He appears to enjoy the cloak and dagger lifestyle of a Lone Wolf. Unfortunately his girlfiend doesn't. Marylou thought Sean worked for a business branch of the Canadian Government and was shocked to discover Sean's secret life. She didn't take it well. She didn't take the discovery of non-humans well either. As a result Sean was not in Nowhere when Lee died. The death of his close friend followed closely by the discovery that neither he nor Lee were really human hit him hard. Sean isn't sure what his genetic make-up is but he knows that it is tied to Ireland... a place he's got mixed feelings for. Sean's life is in transition right now and he's just trying to keep it all together.
