Tears: A spot of tea

Avalon
- Team arrives at Avalon and the mages discover that they can't look at it in magic sight without going blind. Brodie and Mathieu's electronics cut out when they enter Avalon leaving Brodie blind. Even blind, Brodie sees something moving in the corner of his eye when he's inside Avalon. The walls and structure and season inside of Avalon change on its own whim.
- Bradwyn met them inside Avalon then took Brodie and Mathieu to a workshop outside of Avalon where they could use their equipment. They spent a great deal of time talking about weapons and figuring out how to improve accuracy within Avalon. Bradwyn was a bit fuzzy about where the weapons would have to function and how it would affect them. Electronics were out, mechanical was reliable, chemistry mostly so, and magic worked very well. The three of them had fun. Worked out that the men would teach Bradwyn and some of the guards how to improve them.
- James, Theo, Julien, and Zed entered the throne room where a high ranking servant (chamberland?) spoke with them and relayed their request to see the Lady onto the Lady. The tiny butterfly fey found Julien fascinating. Julien was not functioning well within Avalon due to not speaking fey. Zed and Theo handled negotiations. They were allowed to meet the Lady in the tank garage where they met her young son who "guarded" the door. He (Piper) hit Julien in the shins with a wrench and followed him around pestering him and picking his pockets. The Lady was working inside of a tank and propped herself up on the edge of it to talk to the men. She was wearing blue jeans, grease, a leather apron and a tee-shirt that said "I am the BOSS". She looked nothing like the rest of the court. Theo and Zed greeted her, explained their requests, and explained their buisness. She fell into the tank when they mentioned Jasper. She didn't seem too confident in their success but she gave them permission as long as they returned to report to her on what they saw in Underhill. As they were leaving Piper gave Julien a gift, a defaced gold coin and a glowing bead full of magic.
- The team met up in Bradwyn's lab where Brodie and Mathieu were setting up a training video. Bradwyn was keen and wanted them to spend the next two weeks working on it with her so that she had a working set up before they left for Underhill. Theo complained about the timeline and criticised the video plan. Bradwyn became annoyed and banished Theo from the workshop. They stayed for two weeks working for the Heir. Zeb and Theo spent time in the court. Piper followed Julien everywhere and Julien taught him to cast rude illusions in order to get his revenge on the court that snubbed him. James wenched and sang.
Underhill
- After two weeks they went to the cave that used to be a gate to Underhill. James used the blood, guinnes, and dirt mix to trace a spiral on the floor. He warned them to keep on the path, think of Jasper, and never look behind them. James gave some vague warnings that weren't reasuring. Brodie's comments were also not reassuring. The order was James, Mathieu, Theo, Zeb, Julien, and Brodie bringing up the rear after crossing himself.
- Mathieu followed the path as it became a white light path in nothing. Voices spoke quietly to him about how he didn't have the balls to step off the path, was missing out on adventure, and otherwise preyed on his loyalties and need for adrenaline. Eventually he gave in a bit and started shooting up the darkness with bullets that he had promised James he wouldn't use.
- The voice whispered to Theo that the others were dangerous and unreliable, especially Mathieu. They urged him to flee. Eventually Theo gave in to the voices and shifted into seagull form and disappeared.
- The voices berated Zeb for his lack of honour, for his betrayals, and taunted him. They encouraged him to step off the path and end his life with honour that he had failed to live up to before. He resisted.
- Julien and the Squid entered the void as seperate entities. This was pleasing to both ??. The voices went after Julien mocking him then promising him everything if he would only step off the path. He argued with them and berated them aloud. He resisted them but was weird and freaky. The Squid was not bothered but he could see all the hungry entities circling and the nature of the void. That was disturbing but he couldn't tell the others.
- The squid appeard in front of Brodie further freaking him out. His eyes didn't work but he could still see the path and the squid... and things moving around. The voices encouraged him to flee and welcomed him home. He gave them the finger.
- When they arrived, sans Theo, at the 'island' where Jasper was supposed to be Brodie noticed that James showed up as a pillar of flame. Those who used magic sight could see the mages as showing levels of power. They set off to find Jasper who James said was in a shadowed area of the sands. Eventually they figured out that they could will things into existance ... with consquences. Zeb got Cerbebus when he wanted a puppy. Brodie got all of his sight back but ended up seeing too much as he could also see the frame work of the powerstructure and the things out there trying to get in. Mathiu turned into Matrix Batman. James threw away all of Mathiu's ammo and blocked all of his attempts to get more. Julien activated his armour and ended up in full plate armour.
- Julien wished himself to Jasper and ended up face to face with a large black dragon that picked him up in one claw. Zeb wished himself with Julien and ended up dangling from a claw as well. The dragon was Jasper and Brodie noted that Jasper was part of the whole weave of the island. They had tea/whiskey with the dragon and asked him to help them and return with them. They negotiated. Jasper told them that they needed a person who knew the coordinates, a person who understood the gate magic, sufficient power (which they would get from the goddess of death), and someone to shut the gate. He also mentioned someone who would have to choose the shape of the next cycle... answer a question and make a choice. He agreed if the team would return to him in this place to do him a favour. They (some reluctantly) agreed. He took them to Erin.
- Theo the gull forgot who he was and found himself in an ocean under a grey sky far from home. He knew he had to flee. The things fed off his will and strength. He eventually recovered enough to see that he was off the path and searched for the path. He didn't find it but escaped into a green lush land. He was still partly zombified. He went to a huge tree and found a little girl who asked him to have tea with her and mr. Teddy. He did ... she further asked him (changing ages at will) to do her a favour later... answer a question when the time came. She then introduced him to her brother Jasper who arrived with the others. Theo spent the whole time dazed.
- Brodie, James, and Julien came home to Erin. Brodie recognized it immediately but Julien was confused. Brodie treated Erin (the girl manifestation of the place) as his Prince/Goddess (?). Erin kept changing form. They spoke with Erin. She then dismissed them and they fell unconcious.
