This summary is far from complete as there was too much interaction and character development for me to document. Fill in the blanks where your memory is better than mine.
- Crew arrive in Dijon and rent a hotel room. Nev and Gawen have a "friendly discussion" over the morality of the crew's actions and the definition of innocent non-combatants. The conversation doesn't end well. Gawen leaves to think and doesn't come back for two days. He gets his own hotel room and when he returns informs Nev in no uncertain terms that Gawen will not kill someone innocent nor someone helpless. Nev says okay as long as Gawen doesn't get in his way. Nev warns Matieu to watch Gawen as the kid might not have the stomach for the job. During that time Gawen also gains the attention of an amourous pigeon.
- Julien rents a flat in Dijon for a hide-out. Julien alsostole borrowed a book on first aid from the local library and studied it since the rip doctor wouldn't treat him. [ there is no way I can possibly do justice to the stolen library book scene ]
- Theo flew to Deadtown (and dined on Paris garbage) to discover that the control of Deadtown by Angel troops was more a pretense than a reality. Breaking in would be easy.
- Matieu buys a disguise kit, cleans the guns, checks out the flat, determines how to defend it (ie C4 on the fire escape) and cleans his guns. He's a happy go lucky guy.
- Nev eventually contacts Francois and makes arrangements to meet him in Deadtown.
After Theo returns the crew drives to Paris then hikes into Deadtown.
- Nev makes contact with Francois in an ally. Francois asks about the crew and then apologizes for the people with guns that just surrounded the team. Nev tells the team to stand down and give up their guns. They do. Blindfolded the team is lead into a dark empty rooms where the lights over them are the only lights in the room. It also appeared to block magic sight.
- The crew was interviewed by three people: a goblin who didn't say anything, a human military type person who conducted most of the interview and Francois (fey, blue elf with gills) who spent the interview very nervous and obsessively smoking. [much simplified section here] It was determined that Nev, Matieu, and Theo had a connection to the Prince (the singer from the gathering) that they didn't realize they had. This confused and upset the interviewers as none of the crew were fey. It was revealed that three more people were in the shadows. A pair of gargoyles (female & male) who the others all defered to and a older human man who was identified as Alan, the deep cover operative from Thermidore. The gargoyles requested that the crew find the Prince as she was likely to trust them more than others since they were some of the only people to escape the Angel attack. The crew agree as long as they can get their CIDs fixed.
- After the crew meets with Francois and Alan alone and discover who the gargoyles were... The Right and Left Hand. Defacto leaders of the Hunters in europe and extremely effective assasin/terrorists against the Angel forces. This is why Francois was scared. Francois also seemed to be upset that Nev (and the others) had a link to the Prince. The definition of Prince was explained badly. (Theo had a negative reaction?? others?) Prince as a conduate for power manipulation in people seemed to be the part that got through the most. This was recieved with mixed results. Alan's story about D'Ange didn't help matters much. Alan reveals that he worked in risk assesment and goods movement... and has some programming skills.
- Much discussion and arguement ensues.
- The team starts planning to find the singer/prince.
